Intervale Compost Products was created by Gardener's Supply
in 1987 to help restore the depleted agricultural lands of the Intervale.
It has since grown to become Vermont's leading compost operation, recycling 20,000 tons
of food scraps and yard waste each year that produce a wide range of compost-based agricultural
and horticultural products. In 2008, the Chittenden Solid Waste District assumed ownership of Intervale Compost Products.
